Current Legislation

The links below will take you to each of the individual peices of legislation that are being discussed by your representatives.  We've provided you with everything you need to know without all the legalese inherent in laws.  We've broken each bill down for you so that you can see who is sponsoring the bill, who may be voting in favor of the bill, and why the bill concerns the Christian Life Committee.

One of our alert members has called our attention to the fact that the Governor will be putting a "Domestic Partner" bill on this session's agenda.  Remember, this type of legislation has no business in a thirty day session.  The thirty day sessions are primarily for fiscal concerns.  However, the Governor is running for president and has made pledges to certain interest groups that he would promote this type of social change in New Mexico.  We must start now in alerting our fellow citizens about this matter. As we approach the session which begins on January 15, we will no doubt learn of other items that will demand our prayers and attention.  During the session our goal is to post legislation and track its progress.

This page contains all the information you need to inform yourself about this bill as well as an action plan to follow to help uys defeat this legislation.

House Bill 603 - 2007

In the 2007 legislative session, the homosexual lobby attempted to pass HB 603. Thanks to quick and decisive action by our members and concerned citizens accross the state, we were able to defeate this bill - at least for last year. The assault will continue every year until the homosexual lobby gets the message that the citizens of New Mexico are not going to allow them to pass such morally degrading acts into law.

*HB 9

House Bill 9 brings Domestic Partnership back to the front lines again this year. This bill is Fast-Tracked and includes an emergency clause. The homosexual lobby has spent more than 7 million dollars to hire lobbyists for this bill, act today to let your representatives know that you want them to vote NO on HB9.
