Never underestimate the power of prayer in everyday situations. God always responds to our prayers and you can have an influence in the affairs of elected officials by praying for them on a regular basis. 1st Timothy 2:1-8 commands us to pray for people in political authority. Neglect of this ministry by Christians has no doubt led to the moral decline we see around us. This is the one thing believers can do that no one else can. Repeatedly in scripture, we see examples of the power of prayer in changing the tide of history. We can do many things after we pray, but until we pray, we've neglected the most important thing.
