IMPACT NEW MEXICO

January 15-February 14, 2008

Pray for a legislator

Members of churches that are a part of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico are asked to pray daily for a state legislator, the governor, and lt. governor during the time that the legislature in in session from January 15 to February 14, 2008 and during any special sessions that may be called. Each church will receive a form that indicates the representative and senate districts that are included in the area served by that church.

In many cases there will be more than one district defined within the zip code of the church. A coordinator will be enlisted to be in contact with each participating church to make sure that each district within that area has someone praying for those representatives and senators.

The purpose of this ministry is to encourage church members to pray for those in state government, especially those who serve in the legislature.
